Info: Review of the Week/The MyCryMod Review
Hi all,
This is our new forum section dedicated completely to our new biweekly event; "The MyCryMod Review".
All entries will be submitted to this main forum as an individual thread once every TWO WEEKS. The title for each review should be clear and where possible unique, for example if I am submitting a review, something to the effect of "Cry-Tom 19/10/09 Review" would be ideal.
This event will begin on Monday 19/10/09, as always this forum will be monitored regularly by staff members so any threads created here that are not reviews will be deleted and the author may be suspended.
Below is a copy of a news post which should contain all the information you need, please note that this has been updated to correct the accuracy of the rules, the original post can be found here; http://www.mycrysis.com/newsdetails.php?news=42712.

Introduction
We are pleased to introduce a new biweekly article that will take place every other Monday starting from October 26th 2009. This new biweekly event will feature a download from our official modding portal, www.CryMod.com and will give you a chance to download, test and review a different asset every two weeks and let us know your thoughts.
The best review will be awarded an official piece of Crytek merchandise and have their review featured in the news next time around.
Exactly how this biweekly event will occur is broken down below, please see each one for reference;
- The News
- The Asset
- The Review
- The Winners
The News
Every second Monday there will be news about 'The MyCryMod Review' posted on MyCrysis.com, this will include full links for downloading the new asset including installation instructions, it will also include links to post your reviews, links to previous reviews and it will feature the previous winning review.
The Asset
The asset will vary each time, ranging from Mods to Weapon models (and everything in between). There will not be any advance notice on what it is going to be but you will be given a full two weeks in which to download, play through and review the asset in question. All featured downloads will be taken from files already uploaded to CryMod.com.
The Review
Reviews can take any shape or form that you wish, the only guidelines are that it is your personal opinion and not that of someone else, that it is relevant to the asset, and that it is not offensive to anyone. We are happy to accept written reviews, audio reviews, video reviews, pictures are optional, it can really be anything you want so feel free to get creative. A couple of examples of different styles of review are;
- Zero-Punctuation (Video - This may be a little close to what we would consider offensive)
- IGN (Written reviews with images)
- IGN Video (A different style of Video to Zero-Punctuation)
All reviews will need to be submitted, fully complete, by midnight on Sunday (CET), this will give us time to select a winner on Monday before releasing the next asset.
The Winners
As mentioned above, all winners will be announced on Mondays, this will be in conjunction with the next asset release. If you are the lucky winner you will also receive a PM from a staff member asking for your details so we are able to mail you your prize.
The winning review will also be featured in the news post of the next asset release which will not only display the author's work for everyone to see, but will also provide everyone with a good example of the kind of thing we are looking for.
Submitting your reviews
To submit your review you will need to post in our review forum. Each review will have it's own thread where others can read and comment, at the end of each event we will archive the old reviews so they will still be available, and make space for the new ones.
Please be sure to share your thoughts and questions with us regarding this new biweekly event, as always your feedback is essential to us in being able to create the best community possible.

I've played it some time ago, but I'll review it now.
The level is full of creative and interesting ideas. However the gameplay itself isn't as spectacular and proper as e.g. Vulcano. The look of the level is okay, it isn't really beautiful, but it isn't bad. Better TOD and better vegetation would've helped. But the variation of places is very well. The gameplay is often to slow or not spectacular enough. But I can see that you've put a lot of effort in creating a unique designed level with a nice story and a lot of good ideas, that would've been a lot better if you would've invested some more time to work it out.

menotyou: reviews should be submitted as a separate thread in this forum, not replied to here.

I would love to try this but I have so much work to do at the moment, no chance of me doing this.

Is it ok to post the review and then edit a little while? Mine is rather long so I'll probably have to do a few edits.
I suppose it should be ok till the 5th as that's when you review our reviews anyway?

I don't see why you couldn't edit your review as long as it is before the due date.

Thanks for answering.
Posted it now :X
Was hell to format everything according to forum tags etc, but it's there. I managed to shorten it down a little. Still a bit disappointed :/
