You’ve witnessed a world at war through the eyes of Nomad, Psycho, Alcatraz and Prophet, but now, thanks to a team of game design students from Düsseldorf, players will soon be able to experience Crysis from a whole new perspective.

Crysis Analogue Edition takes the unique elements of the Crysis universe and brings them to the table in the form of a board game. For the first time, players will be able to harness the transforming power of the Nanosuit and wield the weapons of warfare by rolling the dice and playing their cards right.

Designed to encapsulate the pulsating multiplayer matches familiar to Crysis fans, Crysis Analogue Edition has been a work in progress for over two years and will soon be ready for release. It came into being when a team of students at Düsseldorf’s Media Design University of Applied Sciences were tasked with creating a board game based on an existing video game. As fans of both the Crysis series and Crytek, the four-man team found it easy to make their selection.

Now, as the game nears completion, the team have been in regular contact with staff here at Crytek and recently attended gamescom to present their work to the wider gaming community for the first time. Positive feedback from fans in Cologne has added to the enthusiasm levels among the design students, and as the pictures below reveal, Crysis Analogue Edition is shaping up very nicely indeed!  

The Crysis Analogue Edition team is made up of artist and lead game designer Sebastian Kreutz, 3D artist and game designer Dominik Lau, game designer Robin Schäfer, and game and level designer Marcel Krafczyk.
