Crysis 3 - Patch 1.1 & Data Patch B
Hi all,

We are rolling out two new patches over the next few days, Patch 1.1 and Data Patch B.

Patch 1.1 will be a physical update requiring you to download it when prompted from Origin/XBL/PSN and contains numerous bug fixes and updates:

  • Fix for users getting stuck in the Pinger
  • Fix for Flashbang/Smoke grenade reactions not displaying in Kill Cam
  • Fix for crosshair becoming invisible after certain actions
  • Fixes for squads joining and disconnecting from servers
  • Fix for players being unable to fire or reload occasionally
  • Fix for users occasionally being able to hear VTOL damage siren constantly
  • Weapons retrieved from the ground now have the correct attachments
  • Fix for players getting stuck if ripping HMG off VTOL during destruction
  • Fix for being unable to detonate C4 after host migration on consoles
  • Fix for game not ending correctly if last opponent triggers a host migration
  • Fix for issue where sometimes rip and throw weapons would not deal damage in smoke grenades
  • Fix for relay in CTR becoming stuck if picking up relay during shotgun reload
  • Fix for icons disappearing occasionally in CTR
  • Fix for players occasionally spawning with wrong loadout in Assault (PC Only)
  • Last Man Standing no longer displayed in Hunter for players that have just died
  • Fixed issue with teams during host migration in Hunter/Assault
  • Significant optimisation to Medium detail settings (PC Only)
  • Particle optimisation (PC Only)
Single Player also receives the following fixes:
  • Fix for crash when loading a checkpoint under certain circumstances during <final sequences of the game>
  • Fix for the player not being able to pass the first hacking challenge in Jailbreak if the "melee" action is assigned on the "F" key
  • Fix for the Hammer pistol laser pointer attachment not being unlocked after completing Jailbreak which prevented players from reaching 100% completion
  • Fix for rare bug at the end of the River mission which resulted in the player losing most of their inventory, the possibility to pick-up items and the bow
  • Fix for lack of feedback sounds when the player pickups ammo from weapons on the floor
Data Patch B is a behind the scenes update and is automatically downloaded when entering Multiplayer. Patch B contains the following tweaks:
  • Melee whilst sliding damage reduced to match patch A's melee damage
  • Typhoon mid range damage reduction
  • Bow sensitivity reduced to match Assault Scope values on PS3/X360 as they have similar zoom values. PC remains as before
  • SCAR+Laser long distance effectiveness reduced.
  • Threat Awareness module levelling targets reduced to 3/10 enemy C4's destroyed
  • Potential fix for "Incoming!" Skill Assessment not levelling up correctly
  • Fix for Social Challenge skill assessments not being tracked correctly

If you see something like this at the bottom left of your main multiplayer screen, then you have the patch.

If you can not see it and this post says the patch is live, chances are your copy of the game didn't manage to download and verify it in time. Simply return to the Single Player menu and click back into Multi Player or restart the game, entering MP will usually resolve the issue as it will have been downloaded already but not verified.

If you do not have the patch you will be unable to play against players who do, so you may have less matches available to your (or no official dedicated servers on PC). This is very unlikely to happen and can be resolved by returning to the Single Player menu and back to Multi Player.

Some users have had problems downloading these data patches, usually due to Anti-Virus or Proxy issues, so if you have persistent problems, check this thread out for more information: viewtopic.php?f=58&t=59915

It is likely that these patches will not go live at the same time across all platforms so keep checking this thread as to when your platforms patches are live.

We have identified an issue in Patch 1.1 where the Dog Tags screen in Player Profile will show you having less dog tags than before the patch, this will affect all platforms when the patch goes live. We have identified the issue and have a fix in place but there will be a period of time before this can be rolled out. This only affects the dogtags in the 5th and 6th categories in the Dog Tags screen.

It is important to note that this is a UI issue rather than you actually losing your dogtags, the game still knows what you have/haven't unlocked but is not correctly displaying them.

    great job on crysis 3 crytek! although the reviews give the game a lower score for its short story it was the best few hours of campaign i have played

    Please fix the Dog tags in the PS3 version. I have to re-earn my dog tags in multi player every time. And I am not the only one having this problem. All of my friends are having this same problem to. PS3.

    Games badass,butt a shit load of fuck ups, like damn I would of expected this from black ops,butt not crytek,, you guys are the shit,butt too many problems with the game,I migrate everyother game,kill cams are so anoyying, add a skip button PLEASE!! I preordered this game,Nd now I have regrets for that,. Noone plays the fucking game,. A lot of laggs,a lot of dumb shit,that I'd didn't expect! I hope your putting all your effert in this so call patch!!!!! And what's up with the weapons! You guys made like 9 or 10 make some more fucking weapons, like seriously get your shit together!!!     New Patch new problem now cave wont loadso the fix for last level in campaign is to fuck it up so you cannot play it problem solved i agree we should be able to come to my crysis and downkoad patches like the old days so how about it crytek give us a link so we can choose what patch and when we download them .As it is tour so called fixes have just caused even more problems

    In my opinion thats the fault of these new client softwares (steam, origin etc) who force updates upon customers as soon as they log in.
    What ever happened to the self service updating...? where game makers put the new patch on their website ready for customers to download if and when needed. That way at least you'd have the option of rolling back an update to the one that worked...!
    All this automatic updating now means if you don't have the same version as your friends then you can't play together.... why is that now important...?
    Why isn't it possible to have people on whatever patch works for them and still be able to link up on the internet to play....???

    dear crytek,
    crysis 3 (H/Ed) has played beautifully and without fault since receiving my copy, granted I thought the first 2gb patch was less encouraging and the start of things to come, but no.
    however your 3rd patch that was 210mb (don't know which one) has ended all that sweetness, as now it won't play for longer than 5 minutes bfore it freezes and locks my computer up whereby I have to press reset to get my computer working again.
    The words "if it ain't broke don't fix it" mean anything...! Gutted, it was running so sweet.
    since the 210mb patch I've been doing nothing but trauling the internet trying everybodies idea of a fix, to no avail. including; reducing level by level the graphics until everythings on low or turned of. yet I know my computer is able to run this with nearly all turned on-cus single player completed with no problems...!
    I've reverted back to 12.1 catalyst drivers from 13.1, and gone forward to 13.2 betas, but no change.
    All other drivers are upto date including windows update, I even did a bios update cus there was one.
    I've tried all the little suggestions from the crytek forums; disable this and that, check this isn't running etc and still no.
    event viewer and google revealed nothing either.
    multiplayer has always been a bit twitchy but playable, now; usually my comp freezes just after getting to the pick your class screen, but if I'm lucky enough to get into a game (few and very far between) I've got maybe 2 to 3 minutes of game play before the lock-up.
    single player has never been a problem; always running sweet, but after the patch won't run longer than 5 minutes before freezing.

    So, I'm left thinking it's got to be your patch, in which case please start working on another to combat this one as I'm sick of restarting my computer every 5 mins, it can't be good for it...!

    evga E762 mobo with i7 980x cpu

    12gb 1600mhz ddr3

    Playing this game is so frustrating, feels like a waste of money atm because over half the games i play online always disconnect before they finish and i dont get any xp and challenges are failed, also i find im always playing with people that are on the other side of the world, maby a server browser should be added or some sort of search preference, i live in NZ and would find it way better if i was playing in NZ/AUS games on Xbox360 - IGN Sublxme

    am on PC reloaded game 3 times origin check says no problem on patch C shop wont take game back as they say it is SOFTWARE ISSUE What the f*** is Point of buying EA/Crytek games whe they are Just F***** up from day 1.I give them their due they got some BOLLOCKS realeasing a game 2 weeks after the alpha testing
