There's a fantastic Crysis 2 tournament that's starting this weekend which gives you the opportunity to win cash and prizes!  The Ascension Tournament is run by Flawless Victory and sponsored by Communication Pro and Pelitaito.fi.

We sat down recently and had a quick chat with Crazyfist of Flawless Victory:

What is the "Ascension" Tournament?

It is a Capture the Relay 4v4 tournament for Crysis 2. For the Crysis 2 community, it's going to seem fast paced with it's 2 mere 2 weekends of matches. Why "Ascension"? Because it's essentially the rise of tournaments and gaming events from Flawless Victory. We're striving to give as many teams as possible the opportunity to learn and grow as a team, and as gamers. This is also the start of an ascension of the Crysis community to develop a better positive attitude and co-operative habits for Crysis 3.

Tell us a bit about Flawless Victory.

We started out as one of those ambitious little groups of 3-4 people that really enjoyed the Crysis 2 demo. Now, almost a year and a half has passed and we've grown into a larger gaming community, with gamers from across the globe enjoying each others company while playing games like Crysis, Battlefield, Counter-Strike, LoL and so on. We always strive to get a little bit better each day, and whoever has jumped aboard has quickly absorbed this mentality and become better as a gamer. We're all about having fun.

Is this open to everyone?

Definitely. As many people as possible are encouraged to form teams. You can find both unaffiliated people AND clans to help you get into a team, all you need is to ask and socialize a bit. In fact, if you're forming a group of people and have no voice communications or server to speak and train on, Flawless Victory is willing to let any team use our server, and TeamSpeak. All you need to do is ask. Can't find a team? Post on the Tournament forums. You're bound to find one, just give it a go!

It's important not to let those "i'm not serious or good enough for this" get in the way. You're meant to have fun, and learn a lot about yourself and gaming. Besides, if don't win, you can still receive the "Best Effort" prize!
