With the dx11 update, many people where able to achieve the max settings and still get above 60 fps. But there is one problem. The tesselation and particle shadows create a huge fps lag hit whenever walls are being shot up close or during the firefight. Many pc gamers have complained about this. I am really hoping Crytek takes this into consideration and optimize the engine better to prevent this. Don't you guys agree?

P.S. I have gtx 570 sli and this issue is really annoying for the fact that I can run crysis 2 in average of 80-90 fps and fps lag hits below 30 fps during the firefight or walls being shot.

The tessellation implementation was incomprehensibly stupid. That NEEDS to be fixed with Crysis 3.

However, the particle shadows are just an incredibly complex effect. I don't think it was poorly optimized, just unbelievably advanced.

It's annoying when you shoot a wall and suddenly dust flies everywhere as if it's a desert D:

M4dn3ss, I totally agree. I've seen jackhammers making less dust than the bullets in this game!

LOL you guys are right. Those dust particles have their own shadow effect which really drains the fps and the game becomes a powerpoint.

I just set particles (or whatever the setting was called) to minimum and it looks the same but performs a lot better :D
