Post subject: I use a controller & I'm playing well. Am I alone in that?

I used to play Crysis 2 on 360, but I just upgraded my pc, so I started playing the pc version. I'm still using my 360 controller 'cause that's what I'm used to. (I have been a pc user since I was little, and I'm 31, but I've never developed the skill on mouse and keyboard that I have on controller.) I am a little out of practice (the number of players online on 360 dropped too low, so It's been awhile since I played it), so I wasn't at the top of my game when I started playing last night/this morning, but I've been performing just fine. Using a controller hasn't been causing me any problems with getting slaughtered. Anytime I've done poorly, it's due to failing to watch my back, spot players who were well hidden, the other players performed strategy better, or the other player just had a better gun than me. Things like that, user error or being a low level, not due to inferior aiming or anything that can be blamed on the controller. Of course everyone tells me that controllers are inferior to mouse and keyboard. Is there anyone else playing Crysis 2 PC on controller and still able to keep up with all the mouse and keyboard players, or is it just me?

I'm comparing my performance to my performance on Crysis 2 on Xbox, while accounting for me being rusty and out of practice. I don't think I'm playing worse than me playing on xbox while rusty, and I should be if mouse and keyboard are so superior I would think.

It doesn't really matter, but with KDr of 0.6 and accuracy bellow 18%, you probably do play well with controller... You've just been con-trolled )))
Anyways, controller is not worse than mouse, it's just harder to learn. Some of my clan-mates used to play with controllers, but they got much better after switching to mouse+key. One of them is using his weird combo of joystick+trackball but I guess it's not the same as gamepad controller.
If you really like the controller, you should stick with it. But it wouldn't hurt you to try master the mouse.

This is my opinion about using a game controller in a PC enviroment: With a controller, you can move the joystick to the maximum radius your controller allows you to go, and that is your max speed for reactions like taking a corner or firing on a guy in stealth who snuck up on you. With a KB+M my limitation is how fast my arm will move. The precision with a KB+M also is unmatched as opposed to a controller. With a controller, you have a degree of speed ramping, whereas with a mouse with no acceleration, high polling rate, high DPI, and the correct windows sensitivity, I can do DRASTIC speed decreases and increases.
Check this video out for a reference:
Can you accomplish this movement with a controller? I haven't seen anyone yet, but give it a shot!
