Are you sure it's Crysis 2 you are playing? Sniping is next to useless in this game when someone can kill you from the other side of the map with a few burst rounds from the Scar. Targets move much faster in the Nanosuit, plus they have the ability to camo themselves and get on your position within seconds due to the speed of the suit. Add the fact that the killcam reveals your position and then there's stuff like max radar and visor tagging.
That's why you only see snipers on maps like Lighthouse and Downed Bird.

As for the question about the guys who run around with the rifle on the ground. Pathetic! I tried that and it takes no skill at all. Two shots and dead with dsg-1 up close. Wow! What a crafty player. In my original post all I was saying was that in a map with 4 people why the camping? Oh hey dub, I can tell your a camper/sniper too. I don't mind too much being called a disgusting breed. It's a little offensive when a damn dirty sniper calls me one though. For me it's a scar,grenade, and a map full of chaos and mayhem. Not a bunch of petite biatches camping and sniping. PANZIES!

If you can't kill a camper with visor tagging, grenades, and long duration stealth, and power mode, you're a bad player. Simply put. Xuvial, for instance, could kill a spotted camper in less than 20s if I tagged him.
