I currently use WMP11. However it has many unsupported codecs so I'm thinking of upgrading my default media player. Hopefully something which is fast and reads all codecs flawlessly. I'm not sure if that exists or a premium price tag comes with it. Therefore I would appreciate any recommendation from fellow readers. Thx in advance.

VLC has a lot of codecs built-in. Alternatively, you could install FFdshow and use Media Player Classic - Home Cinema.

Yeah I downloaded & installed VLC http://www.videolan.org/ but it still doesn't play Dxtory uncompressed recordings:( It says: "No suitable decoder module: VLC does not support the audio or video format "xtor". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this."I must admit VLC have a sense of humur. "there is no way for you to fix this." lol Anyone know what player supports Dxtory vids? Or a possible codec pack for VLC or any other player to playback Dxotory?

I use media player classic (home cinema) 64 bit and i bought 'core avc' codec for it years ago(it's not expensive and is regarded as one of the best).

CoreAVC is a fast, GPU-driven H.264 decoder. But that's about it. I personally use SVP's bundle of joy, which includes MPC (Media Player Classic). Also fun fact: If you go to View > Options > Playback > Output -> EVR Custom Pres.(et) You'll have FXAA applied to the video with the recent 301.24 drivers. Heh.
