Keep it as an option
As a player with a preference for stealth, efficiency and precision I never cared for it. But I can't say the same for players who prefer shock trooper/run n' guerrilla tactics and mass destruction.

I don't get why you guys are so "keep is as an option"-ish. :|
If you'd want to use it, press the button. Else don't.
And personally, I would have used it in Crysis 2, if it actually was a permanent control feature. Not a module that took the place of something as important as Armor enahce/nano recharge.
Though it wouldn't help if you had to get back into a fatsuit and say no to mobility enhance.

i Used airstomp when i got bored of playing seriously. And as a matter of fact, it got very useful for me, if you have the proper upgrades (no falling damage, faster recovery) it actually really helps to get out tight spots or if you are out of bullets. Sure, it takes some practice, but if you are determined, then anyone can make it useful

i voted yes coz its fun to do but is a weak module choice. but now im not so sure. it being a module im sure prevented it from being over used and annoying in C2. if it is available to everyone it should be the slow recovery version and a smaller radius of damage. strictly there for fun and humiliation kills, not a viable offensive strategy. you dont want it to be too prevalent, like 360 trick shots in other games. if it was happening all the time it would ruin the mood of the game

It's pretty much just for show, I mean it's not overpowered or anything

But, also, if you're determined, you can make better things even more useful. Saying you can make airstomp useful necessitates that you purposefully put yourself in a situation, in which it is needed. While on the other hand you could have just shot everyone in the head with a solid playstyle and be done with it. That said, however, I believe airstomp is a good thing, and it would be great if it was a default thing for the suit, like jump, instead of being a selectable module. And make it drain energy.

Bloax wrote: The commando perk was way overpowered because not only was the increase in range way too high, melee is absurd in that game as-is already. (Haha, death by foot stab.) ..because Crysis 2's melee takes account of where you hit them /facepalm. Both have auto-aim, both spin you around and make you follow your target; the only difference is that Crysis 2's takes one extra hit. This of course is not the case with Airstomp, which often got me multiple kills in crash site due to splash damage. It's directly equivalent to the overpowered commando perk in effect, it just gets used less often.
