OK so now my flickering is gone for the second time. How? I dont know. I juss fired it up again today and it was gone and framerate was solid with everything on Extreme and Vsync ON. Problem now is that when i die, or get hit with a Ground Stomp or JAW, I get graphic glitches that sometimes result in a black screen with full HUD display. Weird. I just hope Patch 1.9 on Monday fixes this. Monday is also DX11 day (in three downloads plus 1.9 patch). Patch 1.9, DX11 patch and High res pack. Framerates are great with SLI, and the crazy flicker is gone, but there are new glitches remaining.
I'll post some videos of it in action later when I get a few minutes, but it's like areas with certain post process effects are now flickering. :(
I wish there would be a flicker-free patch once and for all!

I can confirm, 580(two) sli + 990x with patch 1.9 and everything maxed... didnt notice any flickering. At 1920x1080 im getting 70-95fps. At 2560x1440 im getting 40-65fps.

Hallo, i have 2x gtx 580 and there are not overlocked. Now with 1.9 DX 11 Pack and High Textures Pack and Graphic on Ultra I have 30 fps oO. I Play on FULL HD and i have this **** flickering in the light... What should i do? Sorry,my english isnt very perfect,im from germany :D

You don't notice flickering anymore because it was the AA that was causing it. They didn't fix that at all. The game know just disables the Anti-Aliasing as soon as it detects you have SLI. RIDICULOUS!!!

Cant really say if I've got glitches or performance-problems. My HD 5970 is really struggeling with this game on Ultra now. I tried forcing 4X SuperSampleAA and still no flickering... Still: Too little, too late. This patch is far from optimized... Good luck on your upcoming Kinect-BS Crytek. The only company that gets my money from now on is Dice. Since they develop their games "all the way", they'll have an advantage once the next-gen consoles are out. And that will happen faster than you think...

To update my post above..
I have noticed some flickering on distant objects. Mostly sides of buildings (mostly glass planes/textures on buildings?).
I have forced AA on through nvidia control panel.
The glitch does pull you out of the game a bit. Fortunately it is not everywhere.

Disabling SLI is no longer an option with how demanding the update is, and NVidia have said they've done all they can with the drivers, it's all up to the game and Crytek caring enough to fix it fully. None of this workaround BS by stealth disabling MSAA when SLI is on.
