Ok, crysis 2 had an ok campaing and a so so multiplayer

The biggest issue for me was the huge amount of hackers and that the DLC maps on PC were useles

Anyone knows if the devs said something about these issues? (related to crysis 3)

Contrary to any sane C2 players wishe to have relatively clean, hack free game experience, independent developers in general don't care about anti cheating measure at all.

It's simply not on their priority list,

For example, gearbox software let pirates come and join play with legitimate players with modded weapons and stats in borderland, crytek will not implement any substantial, working anti cheating measure and will make C3 pc mp the same cheatfest as C2.

Or maybe this time it will get worse

Actually the only viable option is having some knowledgeable admins banning air-heads from their own servers.

It's all EA's call, they're not funding crytek to do it.

Unless crytek comes up with some clever business model idea like bioware did with mass effect 3 mp where naive...gamers buy out bioware point for spectre package, I guess there's no hope for C3 mp having anti cheating measure.

Sorry to bust your bubble but don't get your hopes up.

Not even thinking about PB but at least they can give admin tools or server options for admins to control damages easily, I think.

Crysis 3 was stinking of "can't be arsed, we'll follow the formula and churn out another title" from the first reveal. I really wouldn't expect anything that's not a complete necessity.

Love how out of all those QA questions about C3 not even one is about anti-cheat measures!

To answer the original question/thread title; we learned a lot of things from Crysis 2, and this is definitely one of the areas where you will notice a considerable difference.

Punkbuster or nothing...
Just no CUSTOM anti-cheat! Punkbuster is a good anti-cheat, and I really don't see a reason why you shouldn't use PB!!!

They'll be banning cheaters from Origin as far as I know.

Not if they have the same screwed up account system. I wish they used Origin or Steam as a DRM!

Having origin account or steam account ban is better than having Practically..................... nothing,

however using origin account ban seems very iffy for anti cheating measure as origin already is literally full of bugs.

It's been last updated about 2 or 3 months ago, since then I've found a lot of users couldn't even download or install through the updated origin.
I've found lots of threads all over the web on this issue, but the only solution was reverting origin back to previous ones.
And EA just refusing to develop updated ver. of origin with bug fix for about 3 months.

Steam account ban is very slow and takes several months to be in effect.

I think aside from PB or PBBAN itself, the only viable option with low cost would be giving good admin tools / server options for good admins themselves can figure it out.

I'd say steam system is at least seasoned and stable, origin is very unstable and hasn't been updated for about 3 months, and doubt EA has a will to fix or make it at least WORK properly.
