Well this is weird, today I attempted to play c2 after playing last night and now the game is freezing on initializing squad. Never had this happen before, reinstalled the game, cleared all the cookies etc on the browser and still freezing. Anyone else getting this problem?
Edit: Well heard the game got patched, seems like the patch broke my game so guess no Crysis 2 for me anymore. Really hope Crytek gets their act together and starts helping their community especially with Crysis 3 coming.

don't worry this has happened to me before, just wait for a while and it will work. Trust me, this glitch won't last forever and you will be able to get on Crysis 2 soon just wait for a couple of hours maybe even try tomorrow and i'm pretty sure you'll be able to get on again.

I'm almost wondering if this happening is tied to the PSN store being down for me since I have the decimation DLC.

Well seems my speculation was wrong, psn store is back and still cannot get past initializing squad. So fed up at this point, tried contacting EA to no avail and Crytek has done nothing on the forums or with the game since last year.
Now I've graduated from freezing to getting stuck on Checking Privileges then says no network connection found, when clearly I am on this site and also signed in on PSN.
Edit: Now it's been nearly 24 hours and I still cannot log into the game. This is why Crytek never should've gone to bed with EA, nothing gets fixed ever.

To add to this, I tried deleting game data and save data to see if any of that was corrupt. Same spot: game freezes and I have to hard reset my PS3. I believe this is an issue with their servers and is not effecting all players as two people on my friend's list are in game and playing mp just fine. Only 300k xp until my platinum trophy too :(

Yeah man, I had a few friends in games earlier too. One of them had the issue 2 days ago. Gotta love the zero care Crytek has given their games since they went into business with EA. Why a respectable company would ever team with those scumbags is beyond me, all EA does is ruin reputable game dev companies.
