This sounds similar to my experiences with C2 ever since the PSN outage, pretty much alwasy a 1 red bar, it taking half a clip to a full SCAR clip for someone to go down, sitting watching your corpse for 15 seconds before you respawn, etc etc
This all comes from having a poor connection to the host.
i tell ya, the handful of times that I've had host, it felt like I had a max nanosuit on the entire game, and my bullets did double damage.

I have only had the Host 5 or 6 times before...and....ITS LOVELY!! However I did host once where I had a full green bar and every other player had 1 red bar and I lagged so bad it was actually funny. They played as if nothing was wrong while I was getting mowed left right and centre. LOL However back to the general lagg issues.....If I have a sort of a 1 block orange bar I am fine. 1 block Yellow bar I am in heaven and I can get more kills than deaths BUT a 1 block red bar IS TERRIBLE. Besides all of that, I really think the game is fun but would love to actually play a game on even playing fields. YES there are players that are Amazing but the Lagg Switchers are Wanna Be's...You never know maybe Crysis3 will have all this sorted out by the time it gets released!
Shoot you guys Online!!! (or not) lol

I find I play best on anything from 1 (orange - not red) to 3 bar connection. ...when I'm the host, I seem to miss (more than usual) ~ kill cam shows me way off target.

I am just referring to a few guys out there who have obvious advantage over others, they are a small minority, there is even one of them who enjoys enhanced invisibility and can one shot kill you from all over the map in a single shot, but he has such a weak gameplay that I own him every single time. So using tactics and smart thinking, and knowing your maps certainly is still necessary if you want to be good at it.
Still too bad C2 is such a glitchswamp. It's even worse when theres players who purposely contribute to the "glitchswamp"

The combination of lag and glitches can be annoying, I really hope Crytek made an honest effort for it's third installment, I definitely love the game, otherwise I would have thrown it in a dark corner of my room a long time ago. It is the only FPS that I actually play.
It would be so cool if all players would be on even level. Now I have matches where I often wonder if dealing with hackers or guys with connection advantage. The difference in damage taken/given can come close to absurd sometimes.
Fun fact of the day: Today I played a match where it took me 17 direct hits with my MOD heavy gun to take down 1 cloaked guy who was standing in front of me, He was standing still and I shot him in the back, so I am sure I didn't miss one bullet. Interesting..
