Not sure if it's going to be an Arcade release that uses MSP or Games on Demand which use actual real money. So save $20 plus tax in your bank account just in case.

I'm a pc gamer and have played both. C2 got boring real fast, even with a high res texture pack and DX11 patch with new effects I still rather go back and play C1 again.

Firstly to answer a couple of questions that people have here.

Q. Is C1 better than C2?
A. Yes by far.

Q. Will it have the bugs currently in C2?
A. I doubt it, this is a port of Cryengine 2 remastered. So you'll probably get entirely new set of bugs to moan about.

As for the image comparison above. PC - High not Very High setting. So it's a borked comparison and yes the time of day is different look at the direction of the shadows.

Things that need to be considered on PC is enhancement mods.

I really hate the way images are set here so I'll just post the link.

All in all you guys will have a much better experience with Crysis 1 than 2.

And unless they've changed the story you all will see how Crysis 2 story line doesn't quite fit with the story/events of Crysis 1. Crysis 2 is far too Hollywood for my liking, and multi-player is crap and too much like Call of Duty.

As for C1 multi-player we had Crysis Wars sandbox MP with vehicle warfare with big open maps. which is completely seperate from the single player game, the way MP should be.

As for Crysis 3. I'm not going to bother getting hyped about it since Crysis 2 was just a dissapointment. over 3 years of waiting for a pile of crap.

Some more things I'd like to point out about Crysis 1. It has a replayable factor since it's a sandbox game and your hand isn't being held by a babysitter through the entire campaign.
On your second playthrough you'll be thinking about doing things differently to challange yourself since you have some options of approaching your targets from different locations.

For example you could go right and head up through the bush, jump in a vehicle drive along the road and charge right in, take the beach and sneak around or even jump in a speed boat and head out to sea to keep your distance and re-asses your tactical options. Not like crysis 2 where the nano suit shows you tactical points of interest, you'll have to use binocs and figure it out for yourself.

It's a much more emersive experience so I suggest you guys get it for your consoles.

Can't wait to have Crysis 1 on my xbox 360 on October, since it's from XBL I can get it on day one, without having to wait for the post mail to arrive, I also have it on PC from Steam the "Crysis Complete Pack", but nothing better to play it on my 32inch LCD with no lags, and major frame rates drops, since it's a remastered edition it's optimized, it's just run and forget about resolutions, better graphical cards and cpus.

I myself don't have any issues running Crysis maxed with 4xmsaa, but very true console play and forget about any hardware hassles. Though I still like upgrading my PC. It's like X-mas as a kid for me. Slogging it out on a construction site for 9 hours a day, it's good to reward ones self in ones interests. Going to order a CoolerMaster Storm Trooper soon, damn awesome case. With the amount of money I save on games from steam sales it makes it a bit easier to upgrade bits. Christ I checked the value of my steam account at steamcalculator.com $1680USD! I didn't even spend half that because of steam sales, example Borderlands with all DLC $7.49.
