This is very strange. 8800GT can run Crysis on high setting...
We need GTX280 for console graphics? Hahaha. NVidia forced it to Crytek...

I think these specs are in the words of Jimmy McMillan "Too Damn High". My brother could play Crysis with a 7600GT fine.... I know this game is upgraded and his card is outdated but you guys said Crysis 2 would be better optimized. How does Crysis Recommended Specs go from an 8800GTS to Crysis 2's Minimum Specs an 8800GT? I remember two days after Crysis came out a member of the forum made a patch to allow DX 10 settings in XP which my brother also used fine....with a 7600gt....
I played the 360 demo and I know you guys could have optimized this better for PC's.

It says Video: NVidia 8800GT with 512Mb RAM, ATI 3850HD with 512Mb RAM, or better
But I have ATI Radeon HD 3800 Series (approx. total memory)256 MB
I'm f*cked, right?

Can you run Crysis 1 atm? If yes then don't worry too much. You'll atleast be able to enter Crysis 2's menu :P

Nah. I'm just kidding. I'm not an expert, but by seeing that the required card is 3850 and your's is 3800 I think you can run it. Just wait for the demo and see for yourself.
