As with all new versions of windows there are always going to be problems with certain games.

And Windows 8 is no exception.

there are a few games that don't function correctly yet on windows 8.

From my experience Crysis 2 is one of them. It seems that the Direct X 11 Pack has to be disabled on my pc otherwise I am unable to access the screen resolution option as it says "undefined" and the main menu seems squashed.

Might be just me :)

The final RTM (Release to Manufacturing) version is not out yet, but the Windows 8 Release Preview is available now for anyone to download and try out:

Window 8 RTM is scheduled to be released on October 26.
I have to warn you though - it's very different from previous versions of Windows, and a lot of people have given it negative reviews. I still think it's too early to tell at this point in time though.

RTM has been released it was released last friday. on October 26 It's released to everyone. If you want to play with it you can download the Release preview. heres the time line.

August 15 - The final version of Windows 8 will be available to developers via MSDN subscriptions. IT pros testing Windows 8 will get access via TechNet subscriptions.

August 16 - Customers with existing Microsoft Software Assurance for Windows will be able to download Windows 8 Enterprise edition through the Volume License Service Center (VLSC). They can then test, pilot and begin adopting Windows 8 Enterprise within their organizations. Microsoft Partner Network members will also have access to Windows 8.

August 20 - Microsoft Action Pack Providers (MAPS) also receive access to Windows 8.

September 1 – Volume License customers without Software Assurance will be able to purchase Windows 8 through Microsoft Volume License Resellers.

October 26 - Windows 8 will be available to consumers either by upgrading or buying a new PC. Or buying a copy
