yeah, you can't compare engines, the only thing you can do, and what everyone IS doing right now, is comparing the GAMES graphics. Frostbite 2 is still brand new, and only has one game to feature its' engine. Wait a while then you can compare the GAMES graphics.

The art direction needs to be applied, if the engine is frumpy it ain't gonna happen, luckily the CryEngine3 ain't frumpy. We obviously know the answer to the OPs question but lets keep evolving and tell me how the next Metro game is gonna look and the release date i forgot.

Art direction is just your opinion, and i'm getting arkham city for xmas! but on my ps3, 'cause no one plays a BATMAN game for graphics, at least i don't.

It ain't possible to paint a Leonardo De Vinci with crayons, if you get my meaning. If you drive a three wheeler bubble car, you ain't gonna plan for a day at the races, if a decent game takes a decade to make on a certain engine cause it's a slow cow don't matter how good it looks the content will be dated.

This person gets the meaning of what i meant to say. Have any one of you played crysis 2 it says in the starting ACHEIVED WITH CRYENGINE 3. Thats what i am trying to say. Only talk about what has been achieved and not what has to be achieved. Maybe cryengine 3 would be better than frostbite 2 when we come to the true potential but simply that hasnt been proved yet. The true potential of either of the two engines has been achieved yet. Currently things that have been achieved with frostbite 2 are far superior to thing which have been achieved by cryengine 3 in most of the terms. Thats because DICE focused on making a PC game and porting it to consoles. Crytek didnt thought like that. When it releases its next PC exclusive then maybe they would try to make the best out of cryengine 3 and beat frostbite 2 in all terms and emerge out to be THE WORLD'S BEST ENGINE. But currently that hasnt been proved.

are you here to advertise about Batman Arkham city. This is not a forum to advertise to things but compare engines. Most of your posts are trying to show batman arkham city better than crysis 2 and battlefield 3. But i know that is not the truth. arkham city city sux according to me.
