Well

Spartans cannot activate clock armour or sprint they have to pickup armour and stealth and they can't sprint at. Nanosuits can ark our spartans can't, nano suits have variety of modules spartans are stuck with nothing.

I think we no who wins.... NANOSUITS

Nanosuit would win because if the Spartan shoots...Maximum Armor.... then knock him down then Cloak and Sneek up and end him. that easy for Nanosuit

I used to be unashamedly biased towards the nanosuit, and drum up reasoning to support my views.. but now I don't care anymore it's a little easier to be objective.

Spartans are 7ft tall tanks, with armour and shields which can take everything the nanosuit could ever throw at it, as well as having practically unlimited energy. They're stronger, faster and last longer than the nanosuit.

The nanosuit can cloak, and support a guy whom is practically a corpse. That is where their advantages end. They only have one weapon which could conceivably do any damage to the Spartan, and that is a gauss rifle. Even then, I'm not sure it'd do enough to matter.

Spartan would win hands down. All he needs to do is wait for the N2.0-wearing soldier to run out of suit energy, and then shoot him as he becomes instantly restricted to a slow jog.

The reason I threw in the silly question was that these sorts of theads end in flame wars and what your game preference is usually lol

It's hard to do a comparison because you have to first figure out which suits you are comparing. The N1 or N2 suit against the Halo Reach, Halo:CE, or Halo 2/3 variants (I consider the Halo 2 and 3 variants to be essentially the same). The Reach and CE armors dont have regenerating health and the Reach variant has special abilities (known as Armor Abilities) which can be switched out (armor lock, sprint, cloaking, etc) but you can only have one at a time. CE and Halo 2/3 variants require special pickups for a time-limited ability (over-charged shields, cloaking) but the Halo 2/3 variants have regenerative health.

As for the Nanosuits, I think we all know their differences ;)

The question for nanosuit vs. spartan armor is to broad without first picking which ones to compare.

The n2 CAN'T run out of energy; it absorbs all energy from the surrounding areas, INCLUDING from the nuclear fission reactor on the back of the Spartan. The nanosuit can only be beaten by the Mk VII or maybe Master Chief's new suit, which we have no details on yet. All previous iterations are inferior to the N2, book canon or not.

So basically, you're putting your fingers in your ears and going 'lalalalalala'?
The nanosuit has always been able to use external energy sources, and has always relied on being within close proximity to them - not to mention the fact that the nanosuit uses energy incredibly quickly; which makes it unlikely that absorption could outperform usage.

Besides, you can't just 'suck' energy out of something. If it's not dissipating with you in range, or you're not absorbing carbon and extracting usable energy that way (ie. how the nanosuit absorbs energy from corpses) then you can't do it. If the Halo armour's fission reactor is thermally insulated, you have no energy source.
