Thanks for merging it with Black_Angel's old thread Shinanigans. Though I see that some like the idea and others don't lol :P

@Reiger, this is what they call constructive criticism? It's life, were not all the same in what we think about.

@ SLIpro

Really a female would be weak and stupid.

I'm former Navy, E-6. I am also a 5th dan in martial arts, I have 3 college degrees, oh and I punch at nearly 750lbs per square. So us women are weak and stupid you say. I know several Marine women that would not only peg you from 800 meters away, but can tear you limb from limb in close, and can easily out do you in the class room.

You may want to watch what you say. There are several of us WOMEN that play this game as well.

To answer the toll question brewing in your head, no I am not a diesel dyke. I have curves I just have athletic muscle to go with them.

Sincerely,
Alyssa
Former USN ET-1 E-6 Petty Officer 1st Class.

First of all, I have respect for you and there's a lot of ignorant idiots in these forums :P
But you already know that there will always be exceptions to every generalization. If you're going to compare (which is stupid to start with) then you would have to take on a man with exactly the same training, experience, motivation, proportionate body size, etc in which case you would get your ass kicked in a close fight and will most likely get outgunned as well (if only slightly).

Since you've studied so much, you know that the AVERAGE woman is physically weaker than the AVERAGE man and far more likely to experience emotional panic/fear due to drastically lower levels of testosterone and adrenaline, crucial chemicals which drive the human body in extreme situations. It's biology, you can't change it. You can obviously train your way around it (like you have) but then a man would always get the job done better if he was just as determined/motivated as you. There's a reason why male and female competitors are seperated in most sports, there's a reason why world records are also seperated by gender.

But back to the main topic, there's an explanation behind why multiplayer shooters including Call of Duty, Battlefield series, Crysis series, etc don't have playable female soldiers. Designing the models would take more work and you would have to incorporate exactly the same hitboxes for fairness, in which case the woman would have to be more or less the same shape/size as a man - so they why even bother with calling it a female in the first place if there are no visual differences?
This isn't an RPG or MMO where you can happily sprinkle in playable females (in which case I shouldn't have to remind you that most guys will pounce for playing as a female :P).

it probably would not look too much different, to be realistic it would be exactly the same, but it would still be nice to be able to customise characters in multilayer so they are female/male etc.

I hope SLIpro is just being a troll. Not only is the intimidation factor of a soldier completely irrelevant in the majority of cases, and almost never reflects on their ability to do the job at hand, but most solders aren't intimidating to look at anyway.

That being said, people trying to make a dick measuring contest out of how many degrees they have and how hard they can hit are almost as bad. Hell, anyone who's been to university knows it's more about persistence than intelligence, and anyone who understands punching mechanics knows a pressure measurement is not representative of punching power.

having a woman the same height as a man doesn't seem that crazy compared to 16 different guys all the same height and build

A female version of N2 would look grotesque, think of roided up women bodybuilders.

A female N1 on the other hand would look niiiiiiiiiiiice

Yet another reason to go back to N1 style gameplay , and leave the disappointing N2 behind
