Cannot use suit modes when using an HMG still attached to the VTOL but auto armor kicks in WTF... Not supposed to be activated when in stealth mode, which is also a period of time shortly after exiting stealth, what a crock i see fools all the time survive a shotty blast because their auto armor kicked in for them...
I don't understand, it's clear since the perk has no upgrades it's only meant for those not comfortable enough to manually use it, but this is **** because someone manually activating it at the exact same time will not see the same results. Just like the VTOL ****...I can't believe how many panzies are using auto armor, shame on all the vets doing so...well shame should be expected since most of the ones i've seen so far were former shamers themselves...

I only use AA when running round with the Guass Sabot Rifle with reflex scope.
Otherwise I see no point in using any of the Snipers

The second a weapon, module etc. is overpowered, everybody uses it. We saw it with the FAMAS and AEK-971 on Battlefield 3. At the end of the day, if you wanted to get a decent score, you'd have to use them as well, to avoid getting out-shot at any range. I saw a lot of people do that back on BF3, but I nearly always went for my good old G53. I only used the AEK and FAMAS a few times, and then a bit after the patches had nerfed them. This is different though. I would never sink so low that I would require to use auto-armor. AA is training wheels for newcomers to the game, and I think it's a great idea since it helps them get through the steep learning curve that Crysis has. However, I am absolutely disgusted when I see a level 50 use it. Auto-armor should be limited to level 1-15.

Good thing most Vets, or any good player for that matter, can stomp people using AA whilst not using it themselves. I actually view AA as a burden where, if you ever get competitive, it will be banned in lobbies. You'll be screwed without it.

There's that many people out there using the Typhoon, rapid fire, maneuverability to have Armour enabled all the time just to watch your back and not give you the edge you need to get away is just dumb. Take your couple of kills, risk getting shot AA is a life saver get in and get out happy with my kill death ratio and happy with contributing to helping the team win. To say anyone that has AA on has no skill is sad, it takes more to learn how to spot the cloak, watch the shadows on the ground, the bushes move, listen to the footsteps, sound and direction of fire than anything else in this game. No skill? same could be said to all the bow users with explosive tips that hide at a distance.

Using Auto-Armor REQUIRES no skill. Big difference. It`s Auto-Matic. Nobody here said people using it had no skill. Just as nobody who's tried the bow for a longer time would say it requires no skill to use even thermite arrows. AA is simply perceived by some as something that shouldn't exist past a certain level.
What aggravates people is that Auto-Armor is not really the crutch for new-comers it's supposed to be, but in every way superior to manually activated armor. Manual Armor Activation leaves you vulnerable for a short time before you armor up, but Auto-Armor doesn't. AA allows you to move with, in essence, Armor activated all the time without the speed and visibility penalty.
And a lot of people using Auto-Armor do so in conjunction with Maneuverability, Rapid Fire and the Rabbit Guns (Typhoon, Jackal, Feline), specifically so they do NOT have to worry about cloaked people, think about where an ambush might come from, listen to footsteps or track shadows. They're too busy running around REACTING to what happens, and Auto-Armor allows them to literally get away with it. They don't have to worry about an ambush, because AA makes the first shot not really count anymore. AA allows them to survive long enough to either run away or turn around and spray everything on full-auto.
While that might require a certain skill and quick reactions, it's not really about anticipation or carefully taking in your surroundings to determine the best tactical approach. You just run and run and when you see someone you pull the trigger, then run some more.
In its current state AA imbalanced against manual armor, something that a lot of people take issue with. The reason why so many people use it is actual proof of the imbalance.
If you feel like you need a certain module to get to even ground, there's something wrong.

If you need to use a certain item in any game just to be on even terms with others, it's not balanced, period. It's not used because people have a hard time getting used to pressing a button, it's abused because it's easy and automatic. I like the FAMAS/BF3 argument though, and you could also add the USAS/Frag combo from the early stages of BF3. The only way to beat it was to use it because it was so overpowered, you could beat snipers with it at range. If I come up from behind on a camper with AA and Typhoon, i'm at the disadvantage if i'm not using the same BS he is.
