Hi guys.
I am having some trouble with my Crysis 2
I could run it ok on my old PC.
All my setting are at its lowest and I still get low FPS (about 10fps)
It's really not working out as I am hoping to put together a montage of all my best gaming times on youtube.
Specs:
AMD Athlon(tm) 7550 Dual-core Processor
2.50 GHz, 2.00 GB of RAM
ATI Radeon HD 5450
Can anyone get me a link or download to a lower res Texture pack as I really want to run this game to the best of its ability

With that old CPU and the slow as hell 5450 what do you expect??

A 8500 GT won't do the job either. It's way too weak for Crysis 2.

I recommend everything starting from the gtx 460.
Everything else should be barely playable.

Btw. there's a script from Blutaar666 which boosts your fps by adjusting some graphical settings.

I believe I was not very clear on why the 5450 is not good enough.

The 5450 is an entry level card, it's for office or home computers where the only thing that will be done is Internet and Movies.
That Athlon 7550 CPU is first generation Athlon CPUs(from an Athlon II's point of view), moreover it's only 2 measly cores running at 2500Mhz(2.5Ghz). Now, speed sometimes may not matter, but this applies for good CPUs.

The 8500GT is old as was already mentioned.
Also, Crysis 3 from the public information we have so far will be DirectX11 only, but don't quote me on that. This means the 8500GT won't even be able to run it.

I've been there pal. Just 2 years ago I was playing on a Celeron D 330 2.6Ghz with an HD3650 AGP. I was playing the original Crysis 1 at 800x600 at lowest possible settings @20 or most of the time 10-15 FPS.

Why do these hardware talks always omit the display resolution that is gonna be used?
If the target resolution is modest, a weaker GPU could do the job just fine, IMHO.

I am computer savy but not a pro but from what I can tell my CPU should handle Crysis 2 fine but when I play, if it loads the first level at all, it's extremely choppy. My CPU specs:

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9400 @ 2.66GHz
6 gigs of ram
NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT W/1 GB of DDR3


When the resolution is set to full screen, 1600x900 the first level won't even load

When I drop it down to a much lower res, it loads but is unplayable. Any ideas here?
