Post subject: Question to Crytek Posted: 11 25, 2012 /01:30 |

First off, let me just say, I love the Crysis franchise. The gameplay is (in my opinion) some of the best out there in a shooter, the visuals are stunning, and the map design in Crysis 2 was outstanding.
Here's my problem Crytek.... I'm a console gamer. Now, while I was thrilled that you brought the franchise to consoles, you're support of that community has been abysmal. Crysis 2 had about a million issues with it's matchmaking, there were several bugs/glitches (some of which truly ruined the flow of the game), and lets not even talk about the map pack integration. None of it ever got fixed. In fact, you couldn't even be bothered to communicate with your console community about these issues.
All the while...the PC version got several patches/updates, while us console gamers were left in the dust.
I find this rather curious, because if we're being honest, you're making a higher profit off us console gamers than you are from the PC community. Not just does the console version cost more money, we actually BUY the game instead of pirating it, so one would think you might endevor to treat us with a modecum of respect.
So here's my question. Why did this happen with Crysis 2, and can we expect things to be different with Crysis 3?
I consider Crytek to be one of the most talented studios in the industy, but I can promise you right now, if you give us console gamers the cold shoulder again with Crysis 3 support, then it'll be the last game of yours I ever purchase.
PS: In case any hardcore PC gamer just read this and wants to respond with something like "Just join the master race, and this won't happen!".....please save it.

You think those updates on the PC fixed anything? Guess again.

The groundbreaking and most obvious bugs were left in the game. Especially lag...tons of lag with orbital strike. Super strafing with specific attachments. Or getting stuck in the game due to some object being in the way like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xv1xQ2dGy3c

And once they realized the game is FUBAR http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=fubar They immediately started to ignore all complaints and acted like it should be like that. Crytek commenting on a state of C2 after patch 1.9 : It's cool it's cool it was meant to lag like that. By the way 100$ says that Crytek will not post in this thread.

If they post, they will immediately avert their eyes from the posts, or would answer with something cliche'd like "We listen to all community feedback".

They won't post, they only answer to post like that when asked in a thread where they posted, and the answers are : - We listen to all community feedback - This is not the right thread for that - We can't give any answer on that However they are more likely to just ignore post like that. See the only way we could influence companies like EA or Crytek is with our wallets, and by that I mean we do not buy the game until we get all the answers and support we want. But that will never happen because despite what happened to C2 the moment C3 was announced people instantly pre ordered the game, even more people have after we got our hands on alpha. So EA can sleep calmly because regardless of how they treat us people will still buy heir games. Just like a girl that is being abused and humiliated by her boyfriend but she keeps on coming back to him. I would like to remind everyone here that C2 alpha MP was just as great as C3, perhaps even better and how did the full game turned out to be ? In chapter 8 of C2 when Hargreave contacts us for the first time he says the following : Quote: But don't take my word for anything, why should you. Trust must be earned So I ask what did EA/Crytek did to earn our trust back ?

All platforms got the same amount of patching and PC is still left with a lot of issues 2. PC had more bugs so it deserved more attention 3. The sales on all 3 platforms are equal, and PC probably even made more considering how admins payed to rent servers
