I thought the last section stood out more, he says DLC "is apparently being planned for continuing support of Crysis 3 after launch". No one bought Crysis 2 DLC so support was dropped. Can we expect the same for Crysis 3, or will DLC actually be worth something this time?

I think he just dodged the question.

Are you kidding me ? I paid for the god damn game and I EXPECT support. If Crytek drops the support because we don't buy DLC that they can go and .... won't use the words I should.
Maybe go ahead and make it damn cod or bf ? 20 DLC's each costing half the price of the game adding two maps and some weapons WELL SCREW YOU. If Crytek actually dropped support because we did not buy the DLC than NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE SHOULD EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

So essentially the console and PC engines are different, great.

Then technically we shouldn't see any "dirt marks" from the console engine on the PC engine...hmm, 55 FoV and "Press Enter to Start"...oh well, I guess I can overlook those. Lets hope those are the ONLY leftovers.

I don't see how since all DLC's do is split the already-small playerbase, or infuriate non-DLC players by handing out overpowered DLC weapons.

The FY-71 was appalling in my opinion anyway, and overpowered inaccurate messy rifle. Only ever good in CQC and I just used melee for that, and is only ever good for medium fire and that's only with steady aim activated.

No DLC please unless each package costs at most $1 USD. Otherwise people won't buy it and people won't play on it.

Companies with much less money and games that sold less have a better history at supporting their games, it's not about how much Crysis 2 sold or not

Considering the SDK is free and its not going to stop users from creating new weapons mappacks or anything Crysis related... DLC shouldn't exist for PC. However, if implemented like TF2 then it might be interesting.

Just no HATS in MP.

Wut? It's not a different engine in the higher levels, it just runs at much lower specs in consoles. Obviously in the low-level functions it's different, it's always been and it would be impossible for it to not be different (as it runs in completely different platforms with different hardware interfaces).

And I don't think "engine" has anything to do with abhorrent consolitis. The Crysis 2 engine sure as hell was NOT the cause of 55 VFoV, "Press Start" and the like.
