Crytek, Please don't waste so much money on advertising and hype this time.

All that money could go towards finishing the game pre-release and then supporting your product post-release.

People know what Crysis is. Seriously, is their a single pc gamer on the planet that doesn't know what crysis is?

Spend the money on the game not on the adds. If you make an epic game people will be like:

OMG YOU GUYS GOTTA PLAY THIS!!

Don't try to trick people into buying a broken product! Sell people a finished WORKING product!

After how you abandoned the community leaving us with a broken Crysis 2, many people are distrustful of you.

Show us you can actually produce and support a AAA title.

REDEEM YOUR SELF!

I think EA takes care of all the marketing.

Yup, it´s EA who says what must and must not be said and does all the marketing outside the press conferences and such.

Which is why I'm not buying the game unless I'm satisfied with the beta (yes, beta) and/or other people tell me that it's decent.

I recommend everyone else do the same thing. If you buy the game you're simply encouraging Crytek to abandon Crysis 3 a few months down the road and make Crysis 4.

The sad thing is the beta is probably going to be what is basically the finished product... like every "beta" these days

What people don't seem to understand is that a game in "beta" is never going to change substantially. "Beta" is a complete, fully featured (or "Feature complete") product that's in for bug/error testing. The second part of error testing, no less.

A game in actual development is pre-alpha.

I don´t care. As long as the game works fine and the story is gripping I don´t care. Crytek publishes lots of updates and patches which easily remedy " the endgame".
