Crysis 2 is my first introduction to PC gaming AND my first, first person shooter. (WOW lot of firsts..lol)

Let me say, I am hooked! Love the game, love the futuristic setting, and the Nano Suit.


Also, as far as I can tell the MP community has been very welcoming to a newbie like myself. Even going as far as trying to help teach me during games.....thanks OmegaFluffDragon

Although, there is a small group that taunts the new guy...that would be me...lol.


Well, that's why I am here looking for some direction, tips and help.

I just constantly keep getting my a$$ crushed. Most of the time I get about 2-4 kills and anywhere between 8-12 deaths per match. That is so horrible it's almost laughable.

What drives me crazy is....I will get the jump/flank on people and I still get shot....same with melee....it seems i keep going in circles and I end up getting melee'd.....oh it's fustrating!

I try to always uncloak and armor up when shooting....learned that lesson the hard way. Try to check my corners....but I seem to get shot first....and I "think" i am trying to manage my nano suit energy. But I think I may have a lot of wasted movement....?

I am about level 23....BUT still probably a level 1 player.

My main loadouts are....

Scar...reflex...extened mag
Armor Enhance
Visor enhance/blind spot
Moblity enhance

Feline...reflex
Armor Enhance
blind spot
mobility enhance

I have quite a few unlocks that I haven't used, and I have Aim Enhance up to level 2 but it seems the veterans respect players that stay away from it and I would like to learn how to better my aim on my own....I guess

Why are you shaming yourself? Crysis 2 is also my first FPS game.

You'll get better with playing this game. Search friends to play with or ask better players for a training or tips in a unranked server. I did the same as you, i watched video from better players and i tried to follow the tips and got finally better.

So don't give up!

Crysis2 is my first multiplayer fps game as well (sort of), but I don't have any cool videos to show you.
Too bad Crysis2 is now laggy as hell, it's almost impossible to play, so you'll need a lot of patience while learning.

This maybe asking alot, but ill give it a try.....

Like UCloaker suggested....if anyone is willing to friend me, i'd love to try just a round or two "unranked" and learn as much as possible.

Not bad playing, a couple questions - What mouse do you use? Mousepad? Headset? (if any), what settings do you play at and how is your frame rate?

A couple things from the video - continue to try and be more efficient with your suit energy. several times i saw you would get low on energy and continue walking around the map, going around corners and such while just walking. Try to sprint almost everywhere you go, that way you "surprise" your enemies as you encounter them. when you need to stop and recharge suit energy, try staying in a single area, continuously looking around defending, until you get more suit energy and then sprint off to your next area. Also never stand still when shooting, try to continuously strafe back and forth while shooting so your not an easy target for other enemies.
