 Post subject: Crysis 3 weapons

I just want to know how many more weapons we will have because i felt there wasn't many options for crysis 2 u know we have the bow and a new ceph weapons but will there be more than three different assault rifles?

I'd rather have them focusing on making the weapons "feel" good and satisfying.

Crysis didn't have so many weapons, but each weapon had this satisfying "oomph" to it. It might be the combination of AMAZING weapon sounds and the sound feedback you got from hitting people: Both body shots and head shots sounded more "impactful" in Crysis.

The bow, the Typhoon, the Hurricane and 5 alien weapons including the X-pac from the demo and the Incinerator. And hopefully the return of EMP grenades means Nanosuit enemies are back. Sadly on MP it's probably not going to be much more varied because the Ceph weapons are scattered around in some maps but you can't equip them in your loadout like the rest because they are apparently all overpowered. Like picking up the HMG.

I agree with the above that what I'd like the most is some polish on the weapons we already have, and more balancing so each weapon has their advantages instead of having 75% of the players using a SCAR.

I hear you man. I'm always like this "o.O" when I score an headshot in the first Crysis. In the second iteration it's just scripted **** after getting an headshot.

Ehm, that's actually quite the reverse for me. The guns did sound kind of plastic-y and fake in C2, but the bullet hits sounded a lot more "impactful", to me at least. You actually heard the 'smack' of them hitting your target, in Crysis 1 you only heard their yells as they were hit. You firing a SCAR at a wall and unloading one into a guy had no sound difference at all. There were no sounds for when you hit someone for Crysis 1....but maybe that's just me and my sound got turned off somehow. For me at least, I heard nothing but their yells when shooting at someone, but the guns did sound and look a lot better than in C2.

Is your game legit (purchased, y'know) and fully up to date? I recall something about "hit sound feedback" being added in either of the two patches available for Crysis. I distinctly remember Warhead having it from the very beginning, though.

In an original, fully patched game, sound feedback was SO much better sounding (and louder).

The headshot sound in particular was nothing short of orgasmic.

Yeah mine was completely legitimate, I don't know perhaps something screwed up or the sound was low on default. I doubt I'd have been able to play un-patched but that could be it.

Bottom line I haven't experienced it...but now I want to.
