Bear with me while I indulge in a cathartic attempt to divest myself of the angst Crysis 2 has created in me. I've spent another friday night of getting schooled by the best, as well as the rest. I've come to the realization that not all of us are gifted with the natural talent that results in elevated game play. Often I see players get 30 kills, sometimes over 40, yet I seldom even see half that many enemy players in a game. As hard as I try I can't seem to improve on my 1.50 k/d ratio. It doesn't matter if I run with the dreaded AE III, or any other combination of modules, I get killed a lot. I have had a few games in which I have done well at holding my own, its what keeps me coming back for more. I keep chasing that elusive high that Elites must feel when they tear through games like demons possessed. I run, I camp, I hug walls, I armor up before corners, I never charge into rooms, I change routes, I use different avenues of ingress and egress, i use multiple loadouts, I watch my radar, all to no avail. I try jumping, I strafe, I use explosives, I know my maps and all the hotspots, and still I perform average. I believe that I may be the human embodiment of "The Peter Principle," which states that we rise through levels of competency until we reach that level at which we are not competent. I even thought of changing my GT to PETERPAN, because I'm such a dreamer, always thinking that my day will come, in difference to my wifes suggestion that I change it to PETERHEAD. I feel ya bro. I have had wickedly awesome games in the early stages of the game but now that there's so few who play (therefore a higher percentage of elites) I'm struggling to post good numbers. Yeah, I get top three with some regularity, but i'm still not even close to the "tier 2" ranking on mike's list.....

Hey CCXR594, thanks for the commiseration. I got a little list of my own, and I am number one in all catagories. 1) Most likely to rage out, 2) Most likely to get spanked, 3) Most likely to take the Lords name in vain, 4) Most likely to engage in profanity, 5) Most likely to think life isn't fair, and the list goes on. Well i know some people that even with SO MUCH gameplay they have not really improved. Not everybody is equal and this game DOES take some sort of skill, regardless of the cheap perks and weapons. The perks and weapons dont get the kills for you, you do have to earn the kills yourself.

Not anymore and not for quite some time now but for a long time you were known as the C4 guy. You used to camp and C4 me for months on end. you once were like MrKillUQuick. Some may not know this but i do since i have played since the beta and never stopped. Its good to see you try and improve in other ways and i can see from the forums that you are nice person. I always thought you were some sort of kid who loves making people mad. lol

This game isnt for everyone. As a matter of fact this game is not for most players who like first person shooters IT SEEMS. I could be wrong but getting slightly close to 2 years now of it being out and not even 2 million people tried multiplayer kinda says something. nobody i personally know that has tried this game likes it anyways. Too fast paced for them? Its different from COD for sure. I wouldnt stress too much. If you still have fun playing than keep at it.
Besides if you improve a lot than its a whole different experience on the battlefield and on the forums and you might not like it. example....

Just today and like always i am outnumbered by some HOWL clan members. Sometimes 2 and more often 3 or more. Earlier today i am playing against 2 of them and 1 of them had host for a few games in a row and both were using FY71, 1 more than another at least and guess what? One of the Howl clan guys were not happy with me using the Feline! and also complained about aim enhance. Before the game started i already have a disadvantage by being outnumbered, One HOWL guy with host and FY71 guns going off but god forbid i use the feline? I am also not here to play everyday and cater to other players needs and wants. So needless to say even when the odds are against you in many many ways you still will get messages and complaints if you happen to pose a threat in any way.

So just have fun and if you do get better than i will say welcome to a whole new world of frustration. You cant REALLY win in this game if you know what i mean. Ask Mike, ask me, ask the best player and ask any good clan. you just cant win.

ENEMY can win

Hi Widda. So, I was known as the "C4 guy", really? I feel a little ashamed and embarrassed to have been the bearer of such an ignominious moniker. I remember when I first unlocked C4. I finally had a way of leveling the playing field. I put that C4 everywhere I thought it would work. I put it on doors, walls, at choke points, hotspots, I'd even kamikaze groups or individuals with it. It was by reading the forums that I learned that it was considered a cheap and unsporting way to play the game. I haven't used C4 in a very long time, I haven't even unlocked it through my last 2 unwanted spontaneous resets. This is my first FPS and my first multiplayer endeavor. I fell in love with this game in all its broken splendor. I understand how a lot of people must feel about this game. When I first started and went 0/22, the amount of verbal abuse was disheartening. Oh!, the beratings I received were monumental. I understand why a lot of people wouldn't like this game, it's a very tough house to play to. Of course you can win, anyone who has competed against you knows you are a force to be reckoned with. You are obviously a person of superior skill and intellect. A champion against the intolerant. An enigmatic persona that ghosts in and out of the forums dispensing equal parts of eloquent advice and admonition. A combat machine that operates with the deftness of a surgeon coupled with nonpareil tactical ability.You are a winner because you are a thinker. Playing with friends makes it fun(only if you are in a party chat), which is a lot better than winning imo and chances are you'll win cause of coordination...
