Hi all,

i've got a problem. I buy Crysis 2 maximum editon on Steam. One Copy for me and one for my roommate.

But there is no chance to get on the Same Server as he. We can Play on diffrent server. But each time i'll try to connect to him, he get kicked or when he join me i get kicked.

Is there an Ip-limit?

But why?

how can we play together?

I mean we are 4 guys in this flat-sharing community. We got just one IP.

I told the other 2 guys not to buy this game, because we can't play together. I mean i understandt an CD-Key limit ^^.
But an IP-limit sounds nuts.

Fear not, it can be done. You can have multiple sessions of Crysis 2 on the same IP, but each machine must use a different port. You may need to be able to login to your router and reconfigure some port settings... do you have that access?

Hi, so I'll reconfigurate my Router.

And now it works exactly one time, that we can play together.
If we want to change Server or Gamemode, we got the same Problem as before, until we Reboot our Router.

Are there spezial Ports i have to open?

Try these one at a time:

1st, make absolutely sure that you are using different serial keys on entry to multiplayer.
2nd, enable UpnP on your router
3rd, add this line to the text file SYSTEM.CFG in your Crysis 2 folder on one computer:
Code:
net_lobby_gamespy_online_port = 64101
(the default is 64100)
and forward that port to that computer in the router if needed.

Note that using your Steam key with Origin to download and install C2 M.E. on one of the machines allows them both to coexist without additional tweaking. I dont know if that would extend to additional Origin installations on the same LAN, but I've seen this twice, and it is the case on my home setup. I'll have to test it with more.

Let us know how it goes.

To find other ports to forward for Crysis 2, use this awesome web tool: http://portforward.com/

Pick your make and model of your router, and your game, and it will tell you all the ports you need to forward. Also, in the US, our ISPs give us a range of 100 IP addresses for devices on our network. Is it not the same in Germany?...

Hi Guys,

at first of all, i always buy Games in Orginal, for me alone and also for good friends to play with.
But I checked it, Steam gave us 2 diffrent Keys ^^.

I'll try to enable this option in my Router, but i didnt find it. The Deutsche Telekom told my there is no option like this in there.

But the last one Work Perfectly.
I'll add this Line to my System.cfg and it worked.

We switch server, gamemode etc. and alwas stay together. Not a singel Problem.

Thanks alot for helping us.

My last question, i think, is self answering but if the other 2 guys are buying this game to.
I just have to raise the value of the code?!

net_lobby_gamespy_online_port = 64102
and
net_lobby_gamespy_online_port = 64103

am I right?

And again Thank you very much ^^

Greetings BenGee
