Crysis 3 is on its way huh!!! Everybody is saying just how epic this will be. lmao its only gonna be a carbon copy of its predecessors with all the usual cheats and failures we have grown to expect. I must admit i have a busy life when not playing the game so i don't have the time that some have to scour these forums but, i have read a few which have tickled me somewhat. People talking of pro's and people talking about cheaters.

Then if all this is going on. Then why not ask yourselves why the game hasn't gone pay 2 play yet. I haven't a clue how much it would cost. £4 a month or so... WoW costs about 9 but thats funding development as well. crysis only needs propper monitoring of 3 things :

*Leaderboard
*servers
*chat facility

Right now you have servers which are all publicly provided, as are most in FPS games. So supporting the whole pay to play idea, why doesn't Crytek provide these servers. That way you could expect servers that wouldn't time out most of the time.

And just to have a bitch whilst i'm writing this. Someone wrote a highly comical post about stopping pro's from being victimised. LMAO it was the likes of some people who abused the whole SCAR , LASER + AIM ENHANCE trick a year ago so pro ^^ ( caugh ) yeah right.

I actually agree with you that it would be nice to see Crytek maintaining its own servers. The question is if they're able to do that. I don't really think that's an easy and cheap task to do (you have to physically put servers all over the planet, provide stable and fast internet connection, you have to have people all over the planet to take care of these servers... not that easy to do if you ask me... and definitely not cheap).

But let's assume Crytek goes this way. Do you realize what hazard it is? Just imagine that you build the infrastructure all over the world... but, the game wasn't that good as expected... and your community is gone after 10 months. Well, that's enough to put a bullet into your own head...

What I don't understand is why would you like to get rid of dedicated servers? I would say, keep the dedicated servers, but give their administrators better tools to maintain them... better logs, replays, etc. This way, the players themselves would choose on what server they want to play - the one that is maintained better or the one that is not cared about.

But to look at this problem from the other side as well... I don't think the cheaters are the biggest evil of this game. It's people like you. I don't even remember the match when I played against you and finished that game from beginning to end - as I was always kicked. I don't think there is a single match that you didn't accused me of cheating, but whenever I asked you for explanation I didn't get the answer. Whenever you see my name in the list of players the votekick is started and it's just a matter of time until I get kicked. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who has exactly the same problem with you. I've paid for this game exactly as anyone else and I have exactly the same right to play the game as anyone. What even gives you the right to start the votekick without giving a proper reason? And no, "press F1, he's a cheater" is not a proper reason. None of the solutions you've presented in the original post deals with people like you. Do you really want us to believe that you'd stop b!tching around if Crytek maintains its own servers? No matter who owns the servers, as long as there are people like you out there with the possibility to votekick, this game would be pain in the a$$ for some players.

It's not only about the anti-cheat. Even if they use good anti-cheats like BE or PB, the game will still be cheater-infested if the developers don't support and protect the game!

It's a bit hard to do that in a game like Crysis (gameplay, mod tools) but if Crytek works hard, maybe the game becomes cheater-free like BF3.

Crysis 2 is a great game but in like any other there will always be those who use third party programs( wont use that word). I recently played on one clan server(name is not important) that has a message (no ha...,chea.. , play fair and so on...) but those same clan guys were using "the program".
Its sad and it makes every game less fun but if you accept it as same thing that HIV will never stop to exist, so will the players that use TPP.
But on their luck only what they can do is be happy when programs aim at you and they get frag, when they will realize that they are not skilled but frustrated selfcented naabs that usualy brag about how good they are they will cry on mom shoulder :)) At the end its only a game and it should be for fun, but if you are no lifer , user of TPP or you dont know that there is life out there then you will probably end up as smelly cat, wondering what else can you do in your life when u hit 40:)
I dont mind if people use that programs becouse i wont change anything with my complains and anger about those players.
big respect to those pros that are clean and skilled in all the way, even geting banged from them makes great experience and great fun.

I wouldn't take anything that rtr says with a grain of salt. What I'm seeing in-game is many players considering them selves 'pros' and then thinking anyone better than them is cheating. Its all very silly. In a one hour period today, I was vote kicked three times. One from an unknown, and two from high pingers that thought I was cheating. Pay 2 Play wouldn't solve anything, a game like this isn't designed like that. Its rare that a Pay 2 Play game has a single player campaign (thats disconnected 100% from multiplayer).

I agree with some of what the OP says but I don't think letting Crytek run the servers is a solution. They can't support their games as it is. Putting more work on their plate will just make things worst.
Dedicated servers run by admins is the next best solution. We have been working on putting together a community dedicated to providing the tools these admins need to host servers and control hacking/cheating on their servers.
