Please Crytek release an upgraded version of Crysis 3 on the Wii U. If I have a choice of versions on the 360 or Wii U I choose the Wii U version simple for the fact the second screen provides so many unique gameplay experiences. With so many Gadgets, Weapons, and abilities in the Crysis 3 universe it's a no brainer. If I have to wait an extended amount of time to get an extended edition of the game with unique controller features I choose to wait. Make this happen!!

CryEngine3 is running on WiiU, but there's no Wii U version of C3 in development right now

PS: Welcome to MyCrysis!

Did I miss Something? Do you think this idea is just crazy talk? If so Why?

I mean wouldn't you want the best version of this game on the most powerful system. By all accounts we know the Wii U will use technology that is 8 years newer than the 360 and PS3. We know it will have almost double the ram. We know it supports DX10 at minimum. The 360 supports DX9. Why wouldn't we want to play the game on the system where it will look the best have less texture pop in, and have the unique controller gameplay. We don't need the game at launch but second quarter of 2013 would be perfect.

Just because it's better, doesn't mean it's better. Buy a good PC. I got a Samsung 7 Chronos with NVIDIA GeForce 630M for under $1000 and it can run Crysis 1 on Max graphics and Crysis 2 on Extreme (second to Max) with perfect framerate.

JUST DO IT. BUY IT FOR THE SYSTEM IT WAS MEANT FOR.

the difference from DX9 to DX10 is almost none, on Crysis 1, with or without a DX10, the game looked the same

now why shouldn't it be released on the WiiU?

-first of all, WiiU potential buyers are those who previously owned a wii, i doubt people who already have an XBOX 360/PS3 will buy the WiiU at launch

-there are millions of PS3/XBOX 360's already sold with millions of active players, it would take the WiiU at least some years to catch up with 7 years of sales from xbox/ps3

-Multiplatform shooter games on Xbox/ps3/wii have shown that the wii sales are abysmal, the WiiU might improve that a little, but not by much

-the controller, it could be used to change suit modules on the go or have it as a minimap, other than that, i don't really think it could do something else that constantly requires you to change focus from your TV to the tablet, specially since it's a fast paced game

the same reason why Crysis isn't on Macintosh, they have the proper hardware to play it, but most mac users to play FPSs, so it's not worth it spending a lot of money in the development of a port for a system that will give very little sales

if the WiiU turns out to be successful, and in a short time it manages to establish a FPS playerbase like xbox/ps3 with a wide title of shooter, then it would be viable to develop a port for the WiiU

but why should they now spend time and effort, developing for a console that isn't even out yet, it's playerbase doesn't play shooters or have ever played a crysis game before

Just food for thought. The leaked release date for the Wii U from the Amazon, Newegg, and Overstock distributor is 11/11/12. What shooter game is rumored to appear on the Wii U and comes out only 2 days later? The answer is Black Ops 2. I see the shooter fan base growing x1000%
If this turns out to be true, and the Wii U gamepad doubles as the soldier's wrist band, map, and second screen to designate target locations for kill streaks guess which one i'm getting. Lets just see if it happens. Seems highly likely the way everything seems to be lining up.

Corrections:
PC is the best version automaticly
Only XBOX is "defined" to D3D (9?), PS3 uses sony's own modification of OpenGL 1.3 (Or 1.5) SE, However we must remember that all consoles are running same setup and that way if MS/Sony decides to change somethikg, they shall do it.

AFAIK, direct X and OpenGL arent some magical components built into the hardware. They are used to "push" or "limit" centrain PC hardware pieces, just like minimum specifications, do you want to support super old technology so all can play with 10 years old rigs and nobody would buy new stuff ?

I have heard that some developers are even begging for these "standards" to be wipped off.

WiiU: I have nothing againts it but now lets do some math !

PS3/Xbox360 are roughly 7 years old. WiiU is going to be the "most recent" console packing new technology. 7th generation consoles maintain roughly only 1/10 (10%) of the power that todays top end PC's have. WiiU is newest yet rumored to only have 1.5X more power than current gen consoles (I personaly dont believe that, what I have seen from that zombie game the GFX detail looks clearly better than most current gen console's games.)

Even if it would be 3X more powerfull than current consoles it couldnt stack up againts mid range PC's (which IMO are good demonstration of next gen consoles) ;)

Hehe, so nothing bragworthy.

Also DX10 capabilities dont matter (like I said before)

Some games already feature things like paralax mapping, tessalation of centrain objects (water in C2)and global illumination which as far as I know are not DX9 features.... On current gen consoles !

They barely wuld get it to work,,,,, so they hav to nerf the graphics a ton just like every other console.
