This is the first time I've heard that anyone have such problem (unsupported graphics card error) with GTX680 and Crysis 2, although I know only people who are having 2GB versions od GTX680 and Crysis 2 is working perfect for them, neither one of them have 4GB model.
Maybe it's a game installation corrupted problem (did you try to uninstall Crysis 2 and do a fresh install Crysis 2 + update 1.9 + DX11 uppdate without High Resolution Texture Pack?). I guess that you have update 1.9 installed (if you have Crysis 2 Maximum Edition it is already 1.9 updated) because you are mention High Resolution Texture Pack which is available only with update 1.9.
Could you provide us here a screenshot of GPU-Z 0.6.4 main window?
http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/21 ... .0.6.4.exeIs your MSI card model: N680GTX Twin Frozr 4GD5/OC ...or: N680GTX Twin Frozr 4GD5 ...? Look carefully at the white sticker on the MSI GTX680 box...
Also try to download MSI Live Update utility:
http://download1.msi.com/files/download ... Update.zip ...and just try to check is there a new BIOS update for that model of graphic card. MSI GTX680 4GB models are only few months old so maybe their first versions of BIOS suffer from "child illnesses", something that maybe new BIOS for GTX680 4GB graphic card can solve. As far as I know so far NVidia provided 2 or 3 versions of BIOS for GTX680 4GB SKU's for their partners, maybe (probably) version of BIOS on your MSI GTX680 4GB is first version.
Just to be sure also try that MSI GTX680 4GB in Crysis 2 on some other rig. Maybe you got a faulty card, chances for that are small, but never say never...
Try to downclock a little (50MHz to 100MHz) GPU on that card with MSI Afterburner:
http://download1.msi.com/files/download ... tup223.zip ...creating sepparate profile for 3D. If you have MSI N680GTX Twin Frozr 4GD5/OC model it could be that GPU couldn't keep up with that slight overclock (1058 (Boost Clock: 1124)). Half year ago using MSI Afterburner the same way I've sugested you I've discovered one faulty MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II/OC which GPU couldn't keep up with that slight overclock frequency tuned by MSI.
My experiences with GeForce 306.02 Beta drivers are better than with GeForce 301.42 WHQL...
post here what did you try from that above...
