I tried to search this..but didnt come up with much...Does anyone know that if crysis 3 has an open world type enviorment like crysis 1...cus that meant that in crysis 1 you could roam about and do missions with your own strategies.........

Hope not. Flamesuit on and all that, but I prefer well-designed linear levels over open-world environments.

TBH, "meh". If it's a good game, I don't care.

The dambusters level had a decent size, they called it "moderate sized" so it's going to be close to Crysis 1, but to the smaller levels I guess, maybe a little like Warhead.
I think open world is not a correct term to describe Crysis 1...
It gives me some hope about the scope of the level that they have talked about "secondary missions" and at the same time they said the Seven Wonders will have some more linear levels so at least we can hope for some variety.

I liked Crysis 1's better. If I wanted linear, I'd play Halo.

Halo is linear, you just approach the level differently, like you do with Crysis 3, not to mention that in C1, half of the environments was not a revelant place to be. They just remove that, and it leaves you with ´moderate size´ levels

I enjoyed being able to be in a place that wasn't where I particularly needed to be. There are extreme cases of this in games such as GTA, an open-world environment where it easy very easy to get sidetracked. I wouldn't go as far as saying Crysis 1 would allow for this amount of side tracking but it does let you get more enjoyment and involvement from the game, just like GTA does. It also allows you to appreciate the detail and the effort the creators have put in (even a place you wouldn't go had major detail). Of-course taking a mission from a complete different area/angle was a great benefit that allowed a player to be pretty unique in their own way of completing missions.
