I heard about Crysis through a friend a long time ago. He told me about the amazing graphics and what-not. But to me it was just another FPS and after MW2 I was tired of the same ole same ole. So I began playing StarCraft2 and that has been my game of choice, not because it was *user friendly*, or that *I was having fun the first game*, (if you've played SC you know how the first few games go lol) ,it was because there was so much strategy and depth to the game and how you can separate yourself from others by using unorthodox strats and how there is an ever-lasting learning curve, constantly things to improve upon but never quite achieving perfection.

I have played the through the first few objectives of C2 and I can tell you that I am completely blown away by the amount of options and strats you have put into this FPS. It has amazing graphics and so many different and unique paths for you to chose. How you have to have good NrG management, cloak positioning and timing, and different guns that favor different builds. I am deeply impressed and I will most certainly be pre ordering C3.

However, I recently read something in a forum post that quoted something that was said in an interview(im guessing), where devs stated (to sum it up) you were going to begin appealing to entry level players. This statement alone makes my stomach churn. I was drawn to Crysis do to its strategy and hardcore scene, and i really hate for it to become just another game that any CoD fps moron could pick up the controller and be good. Do not begin appealing to the Softcore scene, much like blizzard did with D3 and look at how that game turned out. If you dont know then google it lol.... But anyways to sum it all up I love c2 and in C3 I would like to not see things such as *removal of sprint energy, etc* because these kind of things only take away from true strategy and make good fps's only good for a while, then as learning curve peaks, it dies out and bows down to the CoD empire. XD Hope you guys don't screw it up, peace. XD

You must have never played the original Crysis and Crysis Warhead.

What you're warning Crytek about already happened about two years ago. :(

Crysis 2 MP was heaviliy influenced by Call of Duty, and the Singleplayer was an extreme shadow of its former self. Crysis 2 offers less options with the leveldesign, nanosuit, tacticality, and strategic gameplay.

You've forgot to mention how Crytek doesn't care about C2 (as we receive zero support). But otherwise, you've summed that up pretty nicely.

lol Ezmint when I googled "Diablo 3 Blizzard Fail", all I got was Jay Wilson telling his buddies on facebook to "f**k that loser" LMFAO!! and what loser are they referring to? The guy that made the Diablo brand huge to begin with, and made it so easy for them to cash in on his past success by taking an amazing title and turning it into money-grubbing ****.

yeah, I got the Collector's Edition and I know what I'm talking about. on the C3 subject however, I've always chosen not to pay attention to anything fans say because there are far too many drama queens out there that exaggerate the hell out of everything.

"ZOMG hyperspeed no longer drains suit energy, BOYCOTT NOW"......morons, case closed. it's idiots like that who give us gamers such a bad name, they're a total embarrassment.

rent the game and try it for yourself or watch lengthy post-release gameplay vids before making up your mind.

example, there are tons of people out there that love SC2. whereas to me it looks like a pile of ****. cartoon stuff for 5 year olds. I've seen better-looking 8bit games than that. and don't get me started on the CGI cinematics that almost make you believe everything looks just like that in-game as well.....until you actually watch some gameplay vids......and then you puke.

Um, there were maybe 3 legit options in every situation, with open level design, but 2/3rd of it was plain grasslands with some trees.

Crysis 2, i admit, had only maybe 2 at most, but the graphics were improved and Crysis 3 is ready to take the best of the two games and incorporate it in Crysis 3.

3 legitimate options?

I've played Crysis 1 many a time and in the first few levels at least, there are probably around a dozen options. Go in cloaked through bushes and avoid conflict completely, go in blazing on the ground, go in steal a humvee and wreck havoc, go through the oceanside steal a boat and rain lead from the beach, go in with melee only punching houses to the ground and using the KPA as meatshields..

I could continue, but you can't do nearly as much in Crysis 2. Definitely more options compared to your average game, but much less when compared with Crysis 1/Warhead.

The existence of vegetation also created a much larger array of path options when going for the Stealth route. STEALH route, not invisible speed runner route of Crysis 2.

I sorely miss the REAL stealth of Crysis, which was much less "cloak and sprint" and much more "prone and stalk through the vegetation". From what i've seen of Crysis 3, the level of vegetation (and absence of our dear Prone) isn't nearly enough to allow for an actual STEALTH route.

I fear that it might go the "cloak and run" way of Crysis 2.
