Can play game no problems on near max settings with a nice high(ish) framerate and no lag whatsoever but after 10 minutes my game becomes unplayable. It's practically locked up and my cpu is at 95-100% according to task manager. This happens with all cryengine games and only cryengine games. Happens with both crysis 2 and amazing spiderman. I cannot play either of these games because of this issue making these games I paid for unplayable.
Windows 64bit
4GB RAM (corsair XMS3)
Athlon X2 265 (clocked at default 3.3ghz)
HD6850 1GB

sorry no ignore spiderman didnt mean that game lol however it does happen while playing crysis 2 its very annoying

Have you tried to lower the graphics?

Lowering Graphics doesnt help I can play other games for hours on end like dead rising 2 and age of empires 3 on near full settings. Temps don't seem to be too high either.

Try creating a new windows user with minimum background programs, if there is some software conflict that could help.
