I was one of the people who followed every media Crytek released for the release of Crysis 2. when I actually played the game there were hardly 1-2 set piece moments that i hadn't seen before. one can argue that not everyone watches all these trailers so its my fault but I assume most fans anticipating the sequel do. I hope Crytek does not spoil the best moments of Crysis 3 with all the trailers that lead up to the release. Their youtube channel has all the trailers, for anyone who wants to check it out: http://www.youtube.com/user/CrysisWhat do you guys think about this?

Crytek has only shown off one level of Crysis 3, don't worry about it. They'll probably show off one more SP level and a bit of the multiplayer before all is said and done, honestly.

You're actually right! Companies sometimes do spoil the game a little too much. But they have to advertise their product, right? They can't show only **** moments :D
@Talon1995 I agree. We need to see more SP levels

Thing is, if the game is GOOD, it won't matter one iota.

it matters to me. the set piece doesn't have the same impact when you're playing if you just watch it in a trailer before hand. for instance, the Central park out of the ground set piece was totally unexpected and it was amazing to witness that for the first time in the game.
problem with Crytek is that they released too many trailers. understandable, like TSAndrey pointed out, to show the best moments. But my message to crytek, just don't show nearly all of them :P
ill try to avoid a lot of them this time, though it will be hard.

They have talked about this themselves, specially with Warhead, they said that by the time Crysis was out they had shown most of the game and didn't want to repeat it with Warhead, however the problem with Crysis 2 wasn't that they showed too much of the game, the problem was that most of the game was similar from level to level...

I don't think they spoiled Crysis 2 by revealing too much, quite the contrary I was actually surprised the game lasted as long as it did.
They left a lot out and I think they know what they are doing when it comes to revealing important information. In that respect, Crysis games have consistently surprised me.

Crysis didn't surprise me: I was in ectasy the entire time (and still am every time I play). Too busy to be surprised.
Surprise is overrated.
