Crysis 2 on PC had a ton of "console port" problems with the menu's and systems. Dedicated servers, not being able to add servers to your favorites, the server browser, settings, and getting DLC was a big annoying hassle, and turned into an ugly mess once they closed down the Crysis 2 store.

Please use Steam for your DLC, and maybe for browsing servers and friends list. Countless games do it, its just easier than having a different system specific for Crysis.

Got to say I'm really excited for Crysis 3 after seeing the DX11 Toad presentation, but just please listen to all we complained about when Crysis 2 came out and learn from it for Crysis 3! :D

The fact that EA is the publisher might make that a little difficult...

It's going to be Origin.

I don't get the hate for origin. I actually like it better than Steam. It has a working Offline mode. Much more than can be said about Steam...

The main problem with Origin to me is that it's very expensive, the community features are extremely limited and they try to mantain exclusivity on their games, so if you want to buy an EA game chances are that you'll be forced into using Origin.

Origin almost never has sales and everything is a rip-off in Australia. It's just not right.

its published by EA so this will never happen.

they might make it available on Steam afterwards like Crysis 2 Maximum Edition when sales have dried out on Origin.

Using Steam works is totally out of the question since then it would have to be released on Steam at launch.

Crytek is pretty stupid for still sticking with EA. Maybe its a contract thing but there are much better alternatives out there.

In our dreams, guys. I would love for it to be on Steam but it won't ever happen.

With Origin, game prices go down much faster than in Steam and they STAY down. I prefer this to steam's sales any day. Newer games are more expensive, yes, but you can buy retail versions much cheaper than both Steam and Origin and then register them on Origin, regardless of their status as Origin exclusives (which again is mostly impossible on Steam).
