With crysis 1 Crytek showed us that if they work long enough they can deliver the best game expirience.
Which was kinda true.
And then with crysis 2 that came out 3 years later it lowered almost everyones expectations.
And now with crysis 3 coming 2013 which is barley 2 years and that is bad.
If they couldnt make crysis 2 better than 1 in 3 years then why should they in 2.
They need more time we have got to give them more time tell crytek what you think with a lot of comments so they will see this, the power is ours and if crytek will listen to us and take their time it is our win.

They would announce a delay if they needed more time. Like Bioshock or Far Cry 3.

I know but its gonna come out in February 2013 they have a lot of time to announce a delay.
I really hope they will and make crysis 3 as good as crysis 1.

The release of Crysis 2 meant developing a new engine and building most assets from scratch, they don't need time to build a new engine this time so it's reasonable that it's coming out on february, keep in mind that games like Assassins Creed have huge maps, deep, long stories and lots of sidequests and that doesn't stop them from releasing a game almost each year, and Crysis' campaign is progressive and not longer than 8-10 hours.

Youre right but thats excactly what I mean that they need to build a newer engine I know it sounds crazy but think about it.
Cryengine 3 for crysis 2 so Cryengine 3.4 makes me think more like crysis 2.4 and not crysis 3.
It might take them a lot of time but if they do it and listen what people want in crysis 3 they will deliver the best crysis expirience.

@OP

Talk to EA, I'm sure they'd be willing to delay 2013 Q1 revenue becuase we think the game could be better if Crytek had more time ;)

Seriously though, I don't think time is the issue here.

Right, let's get this straight: Crysis is, at best, a mediocre shooter. It had one game that became famous because the devs had an ace up their sleeves; namely a godly engine. Over time, that alone isn't going to sustain a series, especially with Frostbite 2 and the upcoming Unreal Engine 4 narrowing the gap to the point the Cryengine doesn't really look so stand-out magical anymore. There's no depth to the universe, no notable features beyond the rusting visual crown... it's destined to slide into obscurity. Crytek churned out Crysis 2 and are now churning out Crysis 3 on EA's orders, so they can earn a little capital and fund other, more ambitious and (hopefully) long-lasting projects.

So no, there isn't a hope in hell Crysis 3 is gonna be delayed. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Gene, Crysis was NOT mediocre. I didn't care so much for the visuals. What makes the game for me is the FANTASTIC gameplay.

Hell, modded Crysis 2 looks pretty gorgeous. Most of the hardcore PC crowd hates it because of the crappy restricted as hell, "streamlined" (dumbed down) gameplay, sluggish and unresponsive controls/UI...

You do realize we are still getting releases built on the 6 year old Unreal Engine 3? No one releases a completely new engine with each game unless you are waiting 5 years between each iteration, besides Crysis 2 doesn't even come close to exploiting it's engine

Youre all right but think about that if crysis 3 is gonna be anything like crysis 2 they wont get so much money and because of that they will fall apart.
and besides crysis 2 came out 3 years after crysis 2 and they made a new engine so actually they can make a new one 10 times better then the cryengine 3 if they just tried and if they wont listen to us, well its not gonna be really crysis 3 it will be a cod clone.
Theyre are rushing to much to release the game.
Cod releases a game every year and now crytek tries to be like them.
Look at crysis 2 linear gameplay cod alike multiplayer a lot of non disturctive objects and the dlcs that give only 4 maps to the cod alike multiplayer.
If they wont change this and wont try to beat cod and try to make it the best game they can.
So then it will be crysis 3 and not another cod clone.
