ive been trying to log in on crysis 2, and it keeps saying "ATTENTION An error has occurred. Please checkk your network connectivity."
I've restarted my router, restarted my computer, and restarted the game. what can i do to fix this?

Same here. I even disabled Windows Firewall.
Then I finally realized I had PeerBlock running!
Just pointing that out for anyone else that might have a similar app running.

I've restarted my router, restarted my computer, and restarted the game. what can i do to fix this? I have this exact issue, and I know the cause and fix. But first, when the Crytek/EA stuff comes up on startup, press the '~' key (next to '1') it will open up the console. On that list, tell me if you see a bunch of attempts to bind to port, and it failing.

SuicidalNapkin09 wrote: it is trying to bind to port and failing There is a service on Windows 7 (not sure about previous OS's) that controls port activity (even if you're not using Windows Firewall). On my computer, it glitches up (I'm not sure what causes it) and stops certain applications from binding to port (in my case, Crysis 2). You just need to restart the service to fix it. Open up task manager, go to 'Services' then hit the 'Services...' button in the lower right-hand corner (with the UAC symbol next to it). Once the window is up, make sure you are in 'Extended view' (via the tab at the bottom of the window). Find the service called 'Base Filtering Engine'. You should see something like this: Now just hit the 'Restart' button. You might be presented with a warning that it has to restart other services too, just hit 'yes'. If you find you're given an error at the end saying it couldn't restart it due to 'being in use by other services' or something in that nature, just hit the restart button again, and it should successfully restart. Try running Crysis 2 again after that.

Something called 'NetALEPortFilter' was blocking C2, I linked its service to the Base Filtering Engine and figured it out from there.
