Post subject: Nano Recharge vs Energy Transfer Posted: 07 19, 2012 /12:01 |

Lets get some talk about the game itself back in this forum!
Nano Recharge in my opinion is the superior module by a long shot! Now, I do understand the usefulness of energy transfer since a boost of energy is required to clear the scene after a kill, however nano recharge offers that plus much more. I find that the short amount of time it takes to shoot someone is usually long enough to get your energy back or close to full and I am rarely caught out of energy since I can recharge it in a fraction of the normal time it would take. That way I don't have to waste time finding little energy charging hiding spots. On top of all that it has the health benefits. You can take a long fall in cloak and recover almost immediately or take damage from an enemy and recover and kill him before their damage starts to heal and it really enhances max suits its way faster to recharge your health from all the damage they attract so you can keep on killing.
Anyone agree or disagree? Vote for your favorite!

Nano recharge all day long, reason because:
When you fire and kill someone your energy is basically restored or at least half way back, Energy transfer sometime )especially with lag) takes awhile to register the extra energy, also if you get hit its all gone
if you get hit in cloak hide in cover it takes no longer than 2 seconds for enough energy to make another escape, as energy transfer will take the whole 3 seconds BEFORE it starts giving it back.
And also you can run around alot more jump alot more with nano on. (it acts like stealth enhance does)

Yeah I never played against Noob or Lent without seeing ET. these are the players I listed as the Crysis Gods, so the choice seems easy. However two other highly legit and equally talented players in my eyes used only/mainly NANO, one of them is lol NANOtraion, the other is the one true former king pun3sh3r.

Depends on the map. My try hard class consists of nano, but on a small map like terminal or impact et seems the better choice for all the close qtr engagements. Instant energy allows u to defend yourself/engage enemies attempting to shoot u from behind. I use nano primarily because of the almost instant health regen and shield regen speed. Because of this ur Survivability rate dramatically increases once u get the hang of not having the instant "half" energy that u r supposed to get from ET3. That module is broken and NEVER restores energy to full. The reason I started using nano to begin with is that if/when somebody steals ur kill u r screwed if u were depending on that energy to stay alive. Happens a lot if u are playing with beasts such as Erik and lent ;)

Great stuff guys valid points made by everyone so far! SaintJason I completely agree with everything you said there pretty much expanding on my own thoughts. And Epyon I agree with you too I think nano recharge has a slight learning curve but one your over it your survivability increases a ton.
and warder, noob uses a different class like everyday man lol put on nano recharge when your back you'll fall in love

If you are choosing between one or the other for a rush class, for example a feline, I would recommend Energy Transfer on smaller maps because you want to be moving ALL THE TIME. For larger maps, ie Statue, Downed Bird, something like Nano Recharge is more effective because, yes you do need to keep moving but the combat is over a longer range so dipping undercover to recharge your health then popping back out to finish off your target works best. It all depends on your class too. For example Energy Transfer is useless if you want to snipe. And for shotgunning I would always recommend Energy Transfer over Nano Recharge. So I can't vote! Here is a Feline rush gameplay with Energy Transfer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OB0KlJDJTlM
