I want to play but my Crysis2 cant see any servers

-Make sure to have the 1.9 patch installed
-Make sure not to have any filters selected

Been trying to fix this for the last few hours with no success

I originally bought the game through EA and downloaded via origin (yuck!).

Playing offline in single player has been generally OK, a few crashes months back. I play the game via a shortcut I created rather than launching via origin.

Tried for the first time to play multiplayer today, got the "servers found: 0" error. On looking it up, advice was to patch . . . . . . . only thing from EA was that game would auto-patch, but it didn't.

Tried logging into Origin, but apparently password was wrong (and different from here), so tried to reset it - 1 hour later, still waiting for the email! (and no, it's not in junk or deleted)

Finally found a source for all 4 patches and downloaded them

1.1 said it was already installed, so I got hopeful and tried 1.9, it recognised 1.1 and said it would patch to 1.9, which I accepted.

Restarted the game and still "servers found:0"

Game version is listed as 1.0.0.5858, which doesn't seem very appropriate.

Clearly I am not the only one that has had big problems with this - why no sticky thread?

You don't need to download all patches. Just download the 1.9 patch

already done, already patched, ports opened

Just to be sure, downloaded that patch and ran it - told me the game was already v1.9

Finally got into origin, which doesn't even report the game as installed!

still not seeing any servers

Is the MP menu displaying the game as 1.9 in the corner?
And try to right click the game on Origin and choose "Check for Updates"

As I already said

1. no, the MP menu reports 1.0.0.5858 but the 1.9 updater says it is already installed

2. Origin won't check for updates as it doesn't even recognise the game as being installed!

Come on EA, loads of people have had these problems, just ******* fix it!

Delete the game from your PC completely and redownload it on Origin. It should update this time.
And how doesn't it detect the game when you said you play in offline mode?

Oh yeah, sure - not only do I get spyware I don't want or need, I lose all progress in the offline game - why is this the only answer software houses with buggy releases can ever come up with?

(origin wouldn't work)!

You don't lose progress. Your profile is saved in C:\Users\Username\Saved Games\Crysis2
And even tho it probably won't delete, you should still back it up.
I bought and installed the game via a DVD and just needed to enter my CD key in Origin and it detected the installation!
