Does anyone know how to fix a strict NAT? I've had nothing but red bars and lag. I appreciate any insight

Thank you for the link. If I only knew what QoS and DOZ were lol. The link you posted said not to turn off the firewall, but I did that prior to reading and that didnt fix it. My connection is so bad its making me want to retire from Crysis 2:(

I've been using a wired connection the whole time. I recently moved, and it's just where I am living. The internet is pretty s***** here. For the past week and a half every single game has been red bar, and it's driving me nuts. Damn technology really

What worked for me, was simply going on your xbox, and test your xbox live connection.

I think by going to your network settings, then you can test it.

If that doesn't work, then you need access to your modem or router and open some ports.

Here's a video showing you how to open your ports for the xbox on a netgear router. Same ports and similar method if you have a different router.

I would also run a speedtest and consider upgrading your internet plan.

upgrading your internet will most likely not help. "higher speed" internet is just "higher capacity" internet. Video games require very little data transfer. The speed does not change. So if you are located a long distance away from the server, your pings will still be high and therefore you will experience latency in the game. The only way to fix latency is being closer to the server/host. Therfore, you are destined to always be a "lagger". However, the like button may bring you peace of mind.
